      • Kayak/canoe storage: £50 per year
      • Dinghy storage: £200 per year (£100 for each extra dinghy)

Do I need to book to launch my own craft?

Members: Can launch anytime but must register their plans via the online booking link (for safety). Members will be given a password to book their slots and should contact the office if they need assistance.

Non-members: Must book at least 24 hours in advance and can only launch during staffed office hours.

What’s the difference between a social membership and a full watersports membership?

Social membership: Enjoy the lakeside, supervise others and use the café/facilities, but no water access.

Full watersports membership: Includes full water access and the ability to launch your own craft.

What are the opening hours?

Office hours (for hire, launch and café) are listed on our website and updated seasonally. Members can access the water and changing rooms outside these times using their membership codes.

Is the water supervised?

No. The water is not always supervised. You use it at your own risk. Follow all safety rules and ensure you are competent and properly equipped.

Do you offer family memberships?

Not currently. We offer individual adult and youth memberships. Families can join by purchasing multiple memberships. Family packages may be introduced in the future.

How do I join?

You can sign up online via our booking portal or email info@weirwood.co.uk for assistance.

How do I access the facilities out of hours?

Members receive gate and keybox codes. Keys must be returned to the keybox after use. Personal keys are not issued.

Do I get a membership card or craft sticker?

Yes. All members receive a welcome pack with a membership card. Craft stickers are provided if you store your boat at the reservoir.

Do I need my own insurance?

Yes. Members launching their own craft must hold public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £3 million. We recommend that policies align with recognised standards such as those provided by RYA or Paddle UK.

Are wetsuits available for hire?

No. We do not hire wetsuits. Buoyancy aids are available for hire activities.
