IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Southern Water have set an “Exclusion Zone” with a 20m radius from the centre of the ResMix unit in the middle of the reservoir. The area has been buoyed off with orange and white buoys.

Please do not enter the Exclusion Zone.

Pedal boats are not yet available for hire.

Welcome to wonderful Weir Wood Reservoir, nestled in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty outside Forest Row, East Sussex, a short drive south of East Grinstead.

In our fleet of 4-seater pedal boats (Pedalos), have fun gliding peacefully over the water creating fond memories for the whole family. A brilliant adventure awaits you all! A safe, fun experience for anyone and everyone, from the very young to the not so young. Make your summer one to remember.

Children under 3 years of age go for free

All children must be accompanied by at least one adult (Age 18+)

Life jackets are provided free of charge and must be worn by all

Each of our boats can accommodate between 1 and 4 passengers

Always remain seated in the pedalo when on the water

Plan Your Visit

What are your operating times?

Open between 11am until 7pm on all weekends, public and school holidays between April and September, weather permitting. Closing time might be extended during peak summer months.

What time should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive around 10 minutes before your session start time. We’ll quickly check your tickets so please have these printed or ready to show on your mobile phone.

What are the general rules at wonderful Weir Wood?

All kids have to attend with an adult (Age 18+)
Dogs not allowed
Stay seated at all times
Life jackets always be worn
No swimming or splashing
No smoking or alcohol
Be careful of the wildlife
No picking up passengers
Do not get out of your boat except at the jetty or slipway
Stay away from the lake edges
Do not cross floating lines or interfere with marker buoys
Please consider other users
Please report any First Aid incidents to staff immediately

How long is the boat ride for?

You can chose a 20 minute or a 40 minute ride. Your time starts once you depart from the jetty.

Is there an age limit?

Unfortunately babies that are under 1 years old are not permitted.

Can I leave my bike, scooter, buggy?

Yes, you can leave those with us but make sure that you take all valuables with you.

What facilities are available at the site?

Public toilets are located behind the Office.
